Home & School Association

  • Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! We would like to introduce ourselves as the new board of the Rockaway Borough Home and School Association (RBHSA). The RBHSA has a long history of supporting our administration, students, and teachers. We are so looking forward to continuing this tradition of supporting the educational, social, and cultural growth of our students and staff!
     
    Our first order of business has been to replenish our funds as quickly as possible. We have had very successful Dine to Donate events through the summer with local eateries - Rockaway River Barn and Gelato Envy!  Please be on the lookout for upcoming Dine to Donate events every month!  
     
    Additionally, we had one of the most successful Spirit Wear fundraising events ever!  Thank you to those that supported each of these events!
    Secondly, our next order of business is to launch our annual membership appeal. For $10.00 per family, you can join the RBHSA. As a member, you can vote on grants, play an active role in our community, plan events for students and staff, and participate in monthly board meetings! Please complete the attached membership form as soon as possible (no later than October 29th) if you are interested in becoming a member.  Right now our goal is to replenish funds since we lost more than one entire school year of fundraising due to the pandemic. Please consider making a voluntary donation in any amount to the RBHSA that will be applied directly to our operating budget. Donations can be included with your membership fee. No donation is too small. Membership Registration can be found in the document below.
     
    Furthermore, it is our goal to follow tradition and sponsor special events.  Being that this is our first year volunteering and we are coming off of a pandemic, events will look different than previous years. With that being said, we intend to put forth our best effort to raise community spirit and funds!! We plan to sponsor a Tricky Tray in the Spring of 2022… details will be coming soon!

    RBHSA meetings are held in the Thomas Jefferson Middle School Cafeteria at 7:00pm. The fall meeting dates are: September 23rd, October 21st, and November 18th. Additional meeting dates can be found on the RBHSA Website.
