Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! We would like to introduce ourselves as the board of the Rockaway Borough Home and School Association (RBHSA). The RBHSA has a long history of supporting our administration, students, and teachers. We are so looking forward to continuing this tradition of supporting the educational, social, and cultural growth of our students and staff!

Our first order of business is to launch our annual membership appeal. For $15.00 per family you can join the RBHSA. As a member you can vote on grants, plan events for students and staff, participate in monthly board meetings and enjoy perks at events! All money raised will go directly to improving the schools for both students and staff. Last year, we were able to donate home and school communication folders for students, outdoor recess equipment, ice pops and water for Field Day, fund one Morris Hills High School student a scholarship, approve grants that promoted Social Emotional Learning, donate towards the 8th grade fund, just to name a few. We were also able to celebrate the teachers during Teacher’s Appreciation Week with 2 food trucks, massages and a breakfast, RB embroidered fleeces, replenish snack baskets for staff throughout the year, and fulfill multiple mini grants from staff! Additionally, the RBHSA provided staff with an Amazon gift card at the beginning of the year to use towards their classroom needs and will do this again this year.

Furthermore, it is our goal to follow tradition and sponsor special events. Please save the date for our upcoming events, The Winter Wonderland on Saturday, December 9, 2023 and our annual Tricky Tray on Friday, April 29, 2024 at the White Meadow Lake Clubhouse!

RBHSA meetings are held in the Thomas Jefferson Middle School Cafeteria at 7:30pm. The meeting dates are: September 13th, October 11th, November 15th, December 6th, and January 10th. More dates will be announced soon.
